My Way to the Park

There is a park near my home. I often go to the park at the weekend. To get to the park, I usually turn right out of my house. Then I take the first left, go straight for about two blocks, and the park is on my right-hand side. It's a nice place to relax and have fun.

On the Way to the Park

I walked down my street with my dad. The sun shone on Mrs. Stokes, watering her potted plants. "Hello, Mrs. Stokes," I said. She smiled and continued her gardening. We arrived at the park soon after. It was a beautiful day to be out in the fresh air.

Asking for Directions to the Park

A: Excuses me, where's the green park, please？

B: Oh, yes, it's on Beijing road.

A: How far is it from here？

B: It's about three kilometers.

A: Can I walk there or should I take a bus？

B: You can take bus no. 5. It'll drop you off right in front of the park.
